Terms of Service 🍦

Scoop Club is a loyalty app you use to earn free ice cream at partner shops. Take a photo, the AI counts the scoops, every 5 scoops earns a free one redeemable at any partner. By using the app you agree to play fair (real photos, real visits, real redemptions), and you let us show your public photos in the app and on our social channels. We reserve the right to remove content and accounts that abuse the system. The app is free; the free scoop redemption is honored by the partner shop directly.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Scoop Club. If you're between 13 and 18, please make sure a parent or guardian is OK with you using the app.

You can use Scoop Club anonymously up to a point (logging scoops on a single device). To redeem a free scoop or pool your scoops across devices, you need to sign in via Apple, Google, or email one-time code.

You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Tell us if your account is compromised. You can delete your account in-app at any time (Profile → Delete account).

When you log a scoop you submit a photo. By submitting a photo you confirm that:

• You took the photo yourself, or have permission from whoever did.
• The ice cream in the photo was purchased from the partner shop your GPS is pointing at, in the moment you submitted it.
• No people are identifiable in the photo without their consent.

If you mark a photo as public at the confirm step, you grant Scoop Club a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, sub-licensable licence (to our hosting and service providers as needed) to display, reproduce, and adapt the photo for:

• The in-app community feed.
• Scoop Club's own marketing channels (website, social media, press materials).

This licence lasts for as long as the photo is publicly visible in the app. If you delete your account or contact us to remove a specific photo, the licence ends and we'll take it down within 30 days from all surfaces we control. We can't recall posts that third parties already screenshot or reshared outside our systems.

Every 5 scoops you log earn one free scoop redeemable at any partner shop. The redemption is honored by the shop directly — Scoop Club isn't a party to that transaction. We don't accept payments and we don't issue refunds.

Pending (unclaimed) free scoops don't expire as long as your account exists — collect them whenever you're ready. They are forfeited if you delete your account.

Partner shops may withdraw from the programme; once a shop leaves, their stamps may stop being redeemable at that location — your earned free scoops still work at remaining partner shops.

If Scoop Club shuts down: Scoop Club is an independent small business, and like any startup we might fail or wind down the service. If that happens, your unclaimed free scoops will not survive the shutdown — there will be no app to redeem them in. We will give you at least 30 days' notice (by in-app message and email where possible) so you can claim what you've earned before the service ends. Free scoops are a promotional reward in our loyalty programme, not a stored-value voucher or refundable balance.

Don't use Scoop Club to:

• Submit photos that aren't real ice cream, that aren't yours, or that were taken at a different time or place.
• Game the system with multiple accounts or fake locations.
• Post inappropriate, harassing, hateful, sexual, or otherwise objectionable content.
• Defame, threaten, or impersonate anyone — including partner shops or other users.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or build derivative services on top of the Scoop Club API without our permission.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, at our discretion. Repeat offenders will be banned.

Every public feed item has a flag button. Tap it to report inappropriate content. We aim to review reports within 24 hours.

Scoop Club is provided "as is". We'll do our best to keep it running, but the app, the AI scoop counting, and the partner shop list can change or stop working at any time without notice. We're not liable for indirect damages arising from outages or feature changes.

You can leave at any time by deleting your account in-app. We can terminate or suspend your access if you violate these terms, abuse the loyalty programme, or behave in ways that harm other users or partner shops. We'll usually tell you why, unless doing so would itself be a problem (e.g. ongoing fraud investigation).

We may update these terms. When we do we'll bump the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes that can't be resolved amicably go to the competent courts of Eindhoven.
